Hello Summer!

School is out and summer has officially begun! As we finish out the last of our small group and gym classes this week, we are also switching over the storage baskets in the mudroom. Gloves, hats, and snow tools have been boxed away and water toys, bubbles, balls, sunscreen, and bug spray have taken their place. We have so many new outside toys and ride-on toys this year that it is crazy crowded in our backyard. Our summer bucket list is almost finished and we will be starting on it this weekend with our first trip to farmer's market and our first cookout of the year!

This summer I added a few water toys to our box that I feel are must-haves for the pool this year. Ryder is fascinated by rain and storms, which makes the Plui rain cloud the perfect water toy for us. Technically this toy is for the tub but it is so much fun to "make it rain" while the sun is shining. Ryder likes to use the fill hole to soak my feet when I'm not paying attention.

Another must have water toy for all ages are Boon Inc.'s stacking boats and Chomp the Hungry Whale. Scooping up creatures in the whale's large mouth is so fun, especially if chasing after them makes waves in the pool! It is also perfect timing with the Finding Dori movie that is coming to theaters soon. I know that everyone in our house is already so excited to see it!

Last but not least, our outdoor/water play basket is not complete with our Rocket by Tomy. This toy is simple and fun. You just lay it under the water and let the rocket fill with water, then lift the rocket straight into the air. Water flows from the bottom creating a fun stream. This is definitely a favorite water toy for our rocket loving kid!

Now I'm on the hunt for the perfect combination of water shoe and play shoe. What shoes do you go for when the weather warms up? Bonus points for giving shoes for both kids and adults! ;)

Happy Hump Day, friends!
xoxo
