What We're Reading | Superheroes

It has been way too long since I've shared what we are currently reading and loving. The last few months we have been reading a lot about superheroes. If I'm being honest, we are currently drowning in all things superheroes. All day we are playing and talking about superheroes and superpowers. Batman is by far the favorite around here followed by Superman, Flash, and Wonder Woman. A lot of the books out there about these heroes are just a little too long and detailed for a four year old to really understand and follow along. I've done a lot of searching and I feel like I've finally found a few good ones that are not only fun to read, but that help to teach preschoolers about the importance of heroes in our everyday lives.

Ryder has Race Across Gotham City completely memorized. I love that the illustrations match perfectly with the Imaginext toys. We love to set up the toys and act out the story together. So much fun!

While all of these are our top picks for the last month, What Should Danny Do has trumped them all! This book is hands down amazing! While you read, you follow along with the main character Danny. The reader gets to make choices for Danny and change the story! There are nine possible stories depending on the choices you make. When you make a good choice for Danny his days end well, but if you make poor choices for Danny his days end with sadness and a chance to talk about what he could have done different. We have read and re-read this entire book so many times and each time is better than the last!
