We've been watching Christmas movies and listening to Christmas music all day every day around here. We are definitely feeling the spirit of Christmas lately! Ryder has so many questions about Santa and how all of the Christmas magic works. Some of those questions I have to be really creative to answer. Does anyone really know who Santa uses eight reindeer? Ryder wants to know why Santa doesn't use fourteen reindeer or why he doesn't fly on a rocket because that would be "faster and more fun". When I'm not dodging the hard Santa questions we are working on making crafts and gifts. Ryder loves to wrap presents this year! So if you happen to get a strange looking package from us just know that it was wrapped with lots of love and hard labor.
Santa sent us a *new* elf this year and Ryder quickly named him Emmett (from the Lego movie). Emmett has been so much fun this year! It's always easy in those first few days. But he has gotten into some trouble too. Ryder was a little unsure about it the first day, but has really warmed up to him and loves looking for him every morning. This morning I caught him telling him his wish list and asking him questions about the north pole and Santa.
