It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas.

We have decked our halls, we have visited with Santa, so now it's time to start the baking, crafting, present wrapping, and crossing things off of our Christmas bucket list! Every year we try as hard as we can to fulfill everything that's on our list, sometimes even doing a few of them more than once. It's something that I look forward to every year. This year we added a few different ones to cross off. I can't wait to watch Ryder experience some of these as firsts (or firsts all over again).

First to be crossed off on our list was decorating our tree! We actually did this the weekend before Thanksgiving...I know, but I couldn't wait any longer! We also visited Santa this weekend. Last year Ryder was terrified to get near him. This year, Ryder was more concerned with riding the train that circled Santa so he was a bit more cooperative while waiting in line. We had been reading about Santa and learning about Santa since after Halloween so he knew exactly who he was and was even "Ho Ho Ho"-ing when it was finally our turn. I set him down on Santa's knee and he was just fine. We got a few good pictures and then magic happened. As I went back to get him Santa asked Ryder what he wanted for Christmas. Ryder looked at him real fast and whispered, "truck". It was perfect!! And in case you're curious, Santa will be bringing him all kinds of trucks this year.
