Happy March! This weekend was so busy! My grandfather passed away last weekend & his funeral was on Friday. Even though it is always hard to say goodbye to loved ones we know that he is no longer in pain & is in a much better place. As with most funerals, it becomes a time for family & loved ones to get together. Which is exactly what we did! Ryder met so many wonderful family members & got to play with his older cousins...20+ years older...and all girls. But he loved all the attention!
Ryder was so good through all of the events also! He slept through to funeral service after greeting all of the people at the wake. He also did so great at the burial even with the chilly temperatures. But the best part is that even after only a few brief naps he played & was happy through lunch for hours! Of course when we got home he slept for nearly 2 1/2 hours. But I couldn't be more proud of him!
Another good part of this weekend? We surprised Seth with lunch at work! I think Ryder likes to surprise his daddy at work. It's rare that we get to see him during the day so it's always a treat for all of us. He was so excited & giggly the whole time. I guess we will have to do this more often.
